A very easy to make and hearty soup. For that night you want to stay in and have that perfect soup
1 tsp Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
2 clove Garlic minced
1 lbs Italian sausage roll
1 large onion diced
32 oz chicken stock
2 cups of tightly packed Kale torn into bite size pieces
4 strips Bacon diced
1 cup heavy Whipping Cream
2 large baking Potatoes cut into chunks
2 tsp Flour mixed in 3 tbsp water
Heat a large pot to medium heat and add olive oil. Once oil is hot add in bacon, sausage and brown until broken into chunks about 1/2 in size. Do not over smash as it will be like ground beef and you wont have nice chunks of meat. Add in onion and blackened seasoning cooking until onion is slightly clear. Add in garlic and cook 1 min. Add in potatoes and chicken broth into pot at medium heat. Cover and cook about 20 min or until potatoes are near the tenderness you prefer. We like a little more firm for texture. Add in flour and cook 10-15 more minutes. Reduce to low heat and add whipping cream and kale. Mix thoroughly. Serve in your favorite bowl and garnish with onion and fresh grated parmesan cheese.
