Dat'l Hook Ya Blackened Shrimp Over Pasta With a Sundried Tomato Parmesan Basil Cream Sauce

We hit all the taste buds on this one and it will become a household favorite quickly! The large blackened shrimp over the rich sundried basil parmesan cream sauce is a combo you will crave. The beauty is this meal is very easy to create. About 45 min prep and cook. Dinner for 4

1 pound 8-12 count shrimp

2 tbsp Sundried tomato oil (from the same container the tomatoes are in)

Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning

2 tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya sauce

½ cup sundried tomatoes chopped

1 tbsp Italian seasoning

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

8oz Cherry tomatoes cut in half

2 tbsp Butter

¼ cup minced Yellow Onion

2 cups Chicken broth (use better than bullion concentrate for best flavor)

1 cup Heavy cream

1 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese

16oz pasta shape of choice

1.5 tbsp fresh chopped Basil

6 cloves fresh garlic minced

Make pasta per instructions. Once pasta is done, save two cups of water for the chicken stock. Mix in 2.5 tsp of better than bullion concentrate into the 2 cups of reserved pasta water and set aside.

Liberally season de-shelled shrimp with Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning. Bring a large non-stick pan to high heat. Once pan is very hot, add the sundried tomato oil to the pan and then add the shrimp. Cook about 1-2min on each side until cooked. Remove and set aside

In the same pan reduce heat to medium high heat and add in the butter. Next add in the chopped sundried tomatoes and onion. Cook for 2 min. Add in Italian seasoning, 1.5 tsp Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning and 2 tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya sauce. Stir until uniform and cook 1 min. Next add in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 min. Add in the flour, mix well and cook 1 min.

Add slowly the chicken broth and heavy cream stirring as you are pouring it in. Continue cooking 5 min on medium heat, you will see the sauce start to thicken. Stir every min. You want a nice sauce consistency before adding the next steps so you may need to reduce longer. Add in the fresh grated parmesan and stir until melted. Add in the tomatoes and basil, stir until mixed in.

Place the pasta onto a plate, place basil leaves as garnish, add the shrimp and then some fresh grated parmesan. This is sure to please your family and friends and so easy to make!
