Walk out the door and you're steps from the beach, the St. Augustine Pier, and a lineup of restaurants, coffee shops, and beach bars along A1A. Historic downtown is about five miles up the road, so you get a quiet beach-town base with the fort, St. George Street, and the bayfront an easy drive away.

Historic downtown · 5 miles
The nation's oldest city
Tour the 350-year-old Castillo de San Marcos, wander the shops and cafés of pedestrian-only St. George Street, and cross the Bridge of Lions at sunset. Flagler College, the Lightner Museum, and the Cathedral Basilica are all within a few blocks. Trolley tours, ghost tours, and the distillery and brewery scene round out the evening.

Nights of Lights
Every winter downtown glows with millions of white lights, from the plaza and the Lightner Museum to the bayfront. Walk it, take a trolley or a boat tour, and book early. It's the busiest season in town.

Wide, hard-packed sand you can walk for miles. Fish or catch sunrise from the pier, hit the Wednesday farmers market at the pier park, and rent bikes, boards, or chairs a block from your door.

Anastasia State Park has four miles of undeveloped beach, kayak rentals on Salt Run, and shaded trails. South on A1A: Fort Matanzas (free ferry), Washington Oaks Gardens and its coquina-rock beach, and the GTM Research Reserve for boardwalks and birding.

This is fishing country. It's why Hook Ya exists. Inshore guides run the flats and creeks for redfish, trout, and flounder; offshore charters out of the St. Augustine Inlet chase mahi, wahoo, kingfish, and snapper. Prefer to relax? Book a dolphin cruise, a sunset sail, or a scenic tour of the bay.
