10oz Ground beef (can use turkey, bison, or meat alternatives)
2 tbsp Mayo
2 tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya sauce
2 tsp Dijon mustard
3 tsp Dat’l Hook Ya Blackened seasoning
1 Yellow Onion
12oz small Potatoes
2 Potato Buns
1/2 cup White Cheddar
3 tbsp Olive oil
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix mayo, Dat’l Hook Ya sauce, a sprinkle of blackened seasoning, and mustard and set aside. Cut potatoes into 1/2 inch wedges. Add potatoes and 2 tbsp olive oil and toss in a bowl until oil evenly coats potatoes. Sprinkle on 2 tsp blackened seasoning and toss until covered evenly. Place in oven on top rack and cook 25 min or until browned. Lets make the onion topping next. Thinly slice the onion and cut in half each slice to keep long strands. Get a medium sized pan to medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add in the onion and cook until soft and brown and set aside. Next is the burger patty. Add 1 tsp of blackened seasoning to meat and mix evenly. Form the meat into 2 same sized balls, not a patty! Add a drizzle of oil to a medium sized pan on medium heat and place ball of meat. Let is sit 15 secs and then smash the meat with a spatula until thin. Cook 3 min and flip. Cook to desired doneness. Add cheese and cover pan for 1 min. While cheese is melting toast the buns by placing in the pan the burgers were cooked in until the desired toast is achieved. Add the patties to the buns, top with onion and drizzle on the sauce. Plate it and enjoy an amazing meal!
