Datil Pepper Tuna Nachos

Dat’l Hook Ya Tuna Nachos

These nachos are a true gourmet dish that you’ll be making over and over. The Perfect seared tuna on a crispy wonton with a spicy Dat’l Hook Ya mayo sauce will leave your mouth watering.

  • 1 Pound sushi grade tuna
  • mixed sesame seeds
  • 1 cup Edamame
  • 1 package of Asian salad (cabbage based with dressing included)
  • 2 Green onions chopped
  • 3 tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya Original Datil Pepper Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Mayo
  • Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning
  • 2 avocados, diced
  • 1 package Wonton wrappers
  • Peanut oil for frying
  • Olive oil for tuna sear

Take the Asian prepacked salad and  mix with the included dressing and set aside. Cook edamame per instructions on package and de-shell when complete. Liberally coat tuna with Dat’l Hook Ya Blackened seasoning.  Get a pan to medium heat and add olive oil to coat pan. Add tuna and sear each side for about 1 min. Set tuna aside and let it rest. In a sperate pan, heat 1/2 inch deep of peanut oil to 330 degrees. Cut wonton’s in half at the diagonal to make triangle pieces. Fry the wonton’s until a light brown color and set aside. Mix mayo and Dat’l Hook Ya  into a sandwich bag and cut the corner very slightly to allow for easy pipetting of sauce. Tuna should be rested by now so cut into 1 inch pieces. Now that all ingredients are ready place wonton’s first, sprinkle the sesame seed onto the wontons, then add the tuna, top tuna with the Asian salad, avocado, green onion and finally finish off with the spicy mayo drizzle. We promise you’ll be making this dish a lot!
