Dat’l Hook Ya Biscuits & Gravy

What makes a good morning? A new take on biscuits and gravy! We add a small twist with caramelized onions that really pops the flavor up. Pair it with our sauce and seasoning and it’s a next level breakfast.

Buttermilk biscuits
16 oz sausage
1/2 cup of diced onion
6 tbsp butter
1/4 cup flour
3 cups milk
Pabst blue ribbon
1 tsp Dat’l Hook Ya Blackened Seasoning
Dat’l Hook Ya sauce

Bake biscuits per instructions. While biscuits are baking bring a medium size pan to high heat and cook sausage and break up until it’s crumbled. Remove from pan leaving the drippings and lower to medium heat. Add 2 tbsp of butter, melt and then add in the onion. Cook 3 min until a nice glaze appears and almost brown. Do not burn onion! Should only be a light brown. Do a healthy splash of Pabst blue ribbon and cook off. Do another healthy splash of Pabst blue ribbon and cook off. Add in 4 tbsp of butter, melt and then add in flour. Cook 3-4 min until the rouge is cooked. Add in the milk and stir. Add in the blackened seasoning. Stir until thickened. Add in the sausage and mix. Add milk as needed to reduce consistency. Place on top of biscuits and enjoy!
