Dat’l Hook Ya Pork Sausage Pasta with a Cream sauce

Dat’l Hook Ya Pork Sausage Pasta with a Cream sauce

A nice and easy recipe to cook pasta in a new way with that Datil pepper kick. Its not heavy on the cream and each bite has a wonderful melody of flavors. This is good for 2, scale up as needed.

1 Bell pepper thinly sliced

2 Scallions chopped

14oz can Fire roasted diced tomatoes (drained)

1 lemon zested

10oz Italian pork sausage

1/2 tsp Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning

1 tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya sauce

6 oz pasta such as bow tie or penne

2 tbsp Cream Cheese

3 tbsp Sour cream

3 tbsp Grated pepper jack cheese

1 tbsp avocado or olive oil

Cook pasta per boxed instructions. Save 1/4 cup of the pasta water when its done and set both aside. Bring a deep medium pan to medium heat, add in oil, bell pepper and scallion whites only. Cook 3 min then add in sausage and Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning. Break up the sausage as it cooks. Cook the pork until it is browned and remove excess grease.  Once pork is cooked, add in half the tomatoes, cream cheese, sour cream, 1/4 cup of pasta water and Dat’l Hook Ya sauce. Mix until even. Add in the pasta and lemon zest and mix. Plate and garnish with the pepper jack cheese, green scallions and a lemon wedge. So easy and delicious!
