Time to take a spin on the classic stove top burger. Lets change it up with ground pork and a home made spicy cheese sauce
2 medium size Potatoes cut into 1/2 inch wedges
1 green onion thinly sliced
1.5 Tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya Sauce
1.5 Tsp Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning
1 Tbsp Sour cream
1.5 tsp Butter
1 Tbsp Whole Milk
1/3 cup Shredded cheese (Use sharp cheddar for a stronger taste but the texture will be more grainy. Use a 5 cheese Mexican blend for a smooth cheese sauce)
10oz Ground Pork
2 Buns of choice
1/4 cup Fried onions
Olive oil
Preheat an oven to 450 degrees. Drizzle olive oil and 3/4tsp of blackened seasoning onto the potatoes. Toss until evenly coated. Place on a baking sheet in the oven for 25 min or until brown. Once cooked set aside as the fries for the dish. Mix 3/4tsp blackened seasoning into the pork and mix thoroughly. Make meat into two even patties. Heat a pan to medium high heat then add a drizzle of olive oil onto pan. Cook until the first side is brown with a nice crust, about 4 min. Flip and repeat on the other side. While these are cooking toast the buns and make the cheese sauce. To make the cheese sauce add butter, Dat’l Hook Ya sauce, sour cream, whole milk, and shredded cheese. Mix in a microwave safe bowl and cook on high for 1 min. Remove and stir until even and melted. If not smooth and even add more time by 15 sec increments and mix until smooth. Time to build the burger. Place the patties on the buns, top with cheese sauce then the fried onion. Bam! Soooooo Good!
