Garlic Tomato Cream Saucy Shrimp
A family favorite made by our sister Laura with a small Hook Ya twist. This recipe is perfect to put on bagel chips during a party or over your favorite pasta for dinner. The cream sauce is so delightful with a garlic herb taste paired with the sweetness of the sun-dried tomatoes to give a flavor explosion! The Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning and Sauce send it to the next level. Prep time is about 15 min with a 25 min cook time. Feeds 2-3 for dinner or 8-10 for a party snack
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
6 cloves garlic minced
1 tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya Sauce (add more if you want more kick)
¼ tsp ground white pepper
¾ cup clam juice
Dat’l Hook Ya Blackened seasoning
1 tbsp lime juice
¾ cup heavy cream
½ cup sliced sun dried tomatoes
1/3 cups chopped olives
1 tbsp sugar
5oz Boursin garlic and herb cheese
Season the shrimp liberally with Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning and set aside. Bring a medium sized pan to medium high heat. Add in 1 tbsp butter and olive oil. Add in the the shrimp and cook them 1 min each side and remove. DO NOT overcook as they will finish cooking in the sauce later.
Reduce to medium heat and into the same pan, add in 1 tbsp butter and garlic. Cook 1 min until fragrant. Add in the clam juice and Dat’l Hook Ya sauce. Stir and simmer for 3 min.
Next add in the white pepper, sugar, lime juice, Boursin cheese, cream and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer 4 min. Add in the shrimp and simmer 2-3 min until the sauce thickens to your liking. Once sauce is to the consistency you like, add in the olives and stir. You’re going to enjoy this one!
