Dat’l Hook Ya Blackened Shrimp with a Basil Lemon White Wine sauce over pasta

A 25 min shrimp pasta meal with such vibrant flavors that you’ll be making many times over. Recipe is for 2. With a 10 min prep time and about 15 min cook time makes this go to for that special dinner night. The blackened shrimp is paired with a basil lemon white wine sauce with just the right amount of spice from our sauce.

12 large fresh shrimp

Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning

1 tbsp Dat’l Hook Ya sauce

12 basil leaves chopped

1 small yellow onion diced

½ pint grape tomatoes cut in half

1 cup pinot grigio

4 cloves garlic thinly sliced

½ lemon zested and the juice

4 oz linguine

1/3 cup saved pasta water

Olive oil

Fresh grated parmesan

Black pepper and sea salt

Cook pasta, save some water and set aside both. Make sure the pasta is al-dente. Gently drizzle some olive oil over the pasta and mix, this will keep it from sticking while you continue cooking. Generously apply Dat’l Hook Ya blackened seasoning onto shrimp. Bring a large pan to medium high heat. Once hot add in olive oil until pan is evenly coated. Cook the shrimp 1-2 min each side and set aside. Add in the diced onion and cook 1 min. Add in the sliced tomatoes stir to mix and cook 2 min. Add in the white wine and pasta water and cook 3 min. Add in the basil leaves and lemon zest cook 1 min. Add in the pasta, squeeze the ½ lemon juice, reduce to low heat and evenly mix. Allow the sauce to thicken. Place onto a plate with the shrimp and grate some fresh parmesan over the top. You’re going to love this one!
